Out of 54,000 residents within a mile of Upham's Corner, 43% are African American, 22% Caucasian and 19% are Hispanic.

A local branch of the Boston Public Library, in addition to a historic Boston institution, the Strand Theater, are the highlights of Upham's Corner.

In addition to the Upham's Corner stop along the Fairmount Indigo Line of the MBTA, four different bus lines service Upham's Corner.

Upham's Corner is about fifteen minutes away by car and half an hour away by train from downtown Boston.
